LISA Global Strategies Summit
26 - 30 June, 2006
The Roosevelt Hotel, New York, USA
For more than 15 years LISA has helped business leaders acquire the practical knowledge and skills it takes to implement their global vision and make it a reality. It has also introduced them to the business partners who play a key role. The increasing integration of the global economy has made it vital for even smaller businesses in industries such as automotive, medical services, law, and manufacturing to understand how to access global markets and to respond effectively to challenges that may come from halfway around the world. Global business leaders have been participating at the LISA Global Strategies Summits to learn what their peers are doing and to meet with others like themselves who are responding to global challenges with clear vision and a determination to do things right. They come to learn about the language, the culture and the local business practices of other markets, to learn how to implement standards to reduce time to market and costs while raising quality and sales, and to understand how to support their customers around the world. They come away with a clearer picture of what it takes to meet new global challenges and to be successful in markets around the world.

Retail IT Summit
4 – 6 September, 2006
The Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resorts, Monaco
In its second year the Retail IT Summit focuses on the critical issues facing IT in the retail sector. The event is designed for and led by CIOs and other senior IT professionals. They will provide in depth case studies on not only traditional and new retail technological issues but also on the impact of other inter-departmental concerns such as RFID, CPFR and demand management. In the retail sector, IT spending is certainly on the increase. The pressure to continue to realise cost savings from supply chain efficiencies and at the same time improve customer service has forced retailers to accelerate their technology investments. The array of technologies is becoming increasingly more complex to manage. At the same time, the IT executive has to administer his capital spending carefully with store-based technology hardware, network communication technology and IT training among some of the biggest growth areas. Furthermore, with the EU enlargement, many of the leading retailers are expanding into new markets and this is resulting in the challenge of integrating old and new IT infrastructures.

Leading CFO Summit
28 – 29 November, 2006
Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The summit aims to enhance the development of finance in the EAME region and help CFOs and other financial leaders identify their important role in business and government organisations. CFOs and other financial leaders from government and business organisations are taking on more responsibility for ensuring that operating performance is measured and managed efficiently – and that the corporate-level financial information used to build plans, set targets, and manage performance risks is of the highest quality. This new area of responsibility is, of course, in addition to the traditional CFO role, managing financial performance. What does it take to step up? What are the unforeseen consequences? Are the experts right in predicting that the CFOs job is now so broad that CFOs will soon have and equal role played by the CEO? The summit will provide a unique opportunity for financial leaders in the regional countries together with the global financial executives to review actions to strengthen financial institutions in the region and broaden and deepen their understanding on critical issues.
